How To Get On Spotify Playlists For Free
Updated: Mar 7, 2022
Playlists are essential to getting massive exposure on Spotify. By the end of this blog write up you will have a solid understanding of how to hunt down playlist owners' contact information, and submit to their playlists.

"How do I find contact information on Spotify?"
The first step is to find artists that sound similar to you. They don't have to sound exactly the same, but if you are a rapper looking at an artist that produces Lofi Beats you might have a hard time landing any placements. Next they must have between 10,000 and 500,000 monthly listeners; these artists should be on the same playlists that you are looking for. I have found that those numbers are the sweet spot between no traffic playlists and huge playlists that record labels own. The final step is to scroll down to the 'Discovered On' section of their profile and sort through the playlists. Typically if a curator wants to be contacted they will have their information in the description of their playlist. BOOM! It's that simple.

"What do I say once I find their contact info?"
When people submit to my playlists I LITERALLY don't read anything, I just click straight on the link. Personally, I don't have time to read every biography of every artist that ever submits to my lists lmao. The two key pieces of text I would include are these:
1.) Direct link to the song on Spotify. Not the Album/EP/Single release link, click on the three dots directly on the song you want to submit, hit share, then copy link. If you do this, rather than the other link, the song will start playlist directly when they click the link. If you copy the Album link they will have to manually click on the song to start playlist it. This is also the wisest link to use when running advertisements. EXAMPLE
2.) Name of the playlist you want to submit to. A lot of curators have multiple lists, so it can be confusing if you don't include the exact name of the playlist that you are trying to get your music on.
That's Pretty much it!
